Ho to find out if an area you are moving to is decent or not?

I'm looking at moving to Morley in Leeds, UK. I currently live near the city centre and am looking for abit of a greener area but don't want to be too far away to travel. I would like to know if the area is a good one or not, is there a website that will tell me? I've also asked people from around Leeds but wondered if there was somewhere I could find out what the crime is like etc.
