What to expect with an infant with G Tube

My 6 months old daughter is about to have a G Tube placed due to aspirating either her food or acid reflux. After 11 days in the hospital we're finally starting to figure out what is going on with her, AMEN!. What should I expect with a G Tube in an infant when we go home? Is it hard to take care of? She was also said to have failure to thrive, mainly because she is working so hard to breathe that she is using all of her calories up. Will she pick up weight more quickly with a G Tube? Thanks for any info.
