Can old forgotten debt from ex result in a judgement against me as I live in Europe now?

I was a co-signer on a car loan we had together. He became abusive - I left- he inherited millions and paid the loan off. he still wants me to pay him! I now live in Europe...can he try to sucessfully place a judgment against my credit here?
