Can't remember title! Has any1 read a book about shape shifters that turn into black panthers?

Girl moves to new town, starts hanging out with a group and likes a guy in group, only to realise they can all turn into panthers she has the ablity to shape shift as well, its in their blood or something. She doesn't want to be evil and ends up having to fight against most of them. I remember their school mascot was a black panther and i think it was a trilogy. not 'nightworld' & not 'night of the werecat' the cover i remember had eyes on it and one or both were the eyes of a panther. Please help :)
